The big difference

Most planners tell kids what’s due, not how to get it all done.

Unstuck is built for everything that happens between “I have an essay due” and “I got it done,” without the night-before scrambling.

Big assignments, broken down.

Writing down “Essay due Friday” tells you when it’s due. It doesn’t tell you when to start, what to do first, or how to fit it all in.

Unstuck helps students take control of their schoolwork.

Break it down. Big projects, tests and papers become smaller, manageable steps, so getting started feels less daunting and the next move is clear.
Plan ahead. Work backwards from the deadline and spread the work over time. Whether it’s an essay, a big project or a longer-term goal, students know what to do and when, instead of leaving everything until the last minute.
Know where to start. See what needs attention today, all in one place. No giant list to pick through, no guessing what to tackle first. Just a clearer way to get going.

How it works →
Online, everywhere

One planner. Online. Wherever school happens.

Unstuck lives online, so there’s nothing to print, install, or keep updated.

It’s designed to shine on a laptop or school Chromebook — where most kids actually do their work, with the whole week in view.

Log in on a phone or tablet too: add something in the hallway, check a due date, tick things off from anywhere. Always synced.

Running List The small things that matter but have no date. They carry week to week until they’re done.
Classes + Activities Every place work comes from in one spot: classes, tutoring, clubs, college apps.
Sunday Reset A ten-minute walkthrough to set the week up, so Monday isn’t a cold start.
Works on every device Add something on your phone in the hallway. It’s on your laptop at home. Same planner, everywhere.
Your information stays yours You can download what you’ve written whenever you need it.
ADHD & executive function

Built for ADHD. Helpful for any busy student.

Unstuck is built around executive function: starting, planning, sequencing, organizing, and remembering what’s coming.

Those aren’t just ADHD challenges. They’re student challenges.

No streaks. No guilt. No badges for logging in. A bad week doesn’t break it — you just pick it back up and keep going.

Why I built it

Turns out the planner my kids needed didn’t exist. So I built it.

I’m Kate, mom of two — one in middle school and one in high school, one with ADHD.

We tried every planner going: the plain ones, the ADHD ones, the feature-stuffed ones. I even had planners custom designed and professionally printed (I know… I was desperate).

None of them were quite right. Not because my kids weren’t trying, but because most planners assume remembering, planning and getting started come naturally. And for lots of kids it doesn’t.

A student's desk with an open book, notebooks and pens

Unstuck is the student planner I wish my kids had years ago.

And if it works in my chaotic house, there’s a good chance it can work in yours.

Accounts & logging in
How do I set up the planner?
+

After you buy, you’ll get an email with your order number. Go to unstuckplanner.com, tap Log in, then Set up my planner. Enter the student’s email and the order number, then type the 6-digit code we email you. It takes about two minutes. See the full setup steps .

Is there a password?
+

No. You log in once on each device and you stay logged in.

You’ll only need to log in again on a new device or after signing out. Then we email a link and a 6-digit code, and you use whichever is easier.

Whose email should we use?
+

Use the student’s email, not a parent’s. The planner belongs to that email address, and one email = one planner.

The student needs to be able to open that inbox. That’s where the login link and code go whenever they sign in on a new device.

No separate student email? With Gmail, add a “+” and a name: yourname+josie@gmail.com goes to your inbox but counts as its own login.

We have more than one student. What do we buy?
+

Choose how many students at checkout. One order number then sets up a planner for each of them, each with their own email.

Getting the most out of Unstuck
Where does everything go?
+

Big thing with a deadline? Plans. Homework from a teacher? Assignments. Practices, clubs, appointments? Activities. Something that needs doing but has no date? Running List. Head too full? Brain Dump.

Still not sure? Put it somewhere. You can always move it later.

How does Unstuck plan out a big assignment?
+

Projects, papers, and tests go in Plans. Unstuck can do as much or as little of the planning as you like. If you save one before adding steps, a Plan the steps task goes on Today right away.

1
Pick the type of work (unit test, essay, lab, group project, and so on), plus the class and due date. The type tells Unstuck which steps to suggest and how much time it usually needs.
2
Choose how long to prepare. Unstuck fills in a recommended amount of time for that type, and you can pick more or less. To change the recommended times for everything, go to the gear icon → Settings → When planning starts.
3
Get the steps. Let Unstuck suggest the usual steps, write your own, or mix the two.
4
Put them on the calendar. Give each step its own date, or let Unstuck spread them out evenly between the start and the due date.

Each step then shows up in Assignments on the day it’s meant to happen, so the plan turns into today’s work without anyone copying it over.

Nothing is locked in. You can add, rename, or delete steps, change any date, or change the due date or prep time. If dated steps need to move, Unstuck offers to move them for you.

How early does Unstuck start a plan? Can I change it?
+

Add big work in Plans as soon as you know about it, even months ahead. A Plan the steps task goes on Today right away, and the steps are spread out from the right starting point before the due date.

How early that happens depends on the kind of work:

3 days: general homework, reading, problem sets1 week: quizzes2 weeks: unit tests, essays, labs, presentations3 weeks: exams, papers, projects, group projects, creative writing4 weeks: portfolios, performances, applications2 months: SAT, ACT and AP prep (you can pick anywhere from 2 to 8 months)

To change the defaults for everything: tap the gear icon for Settings, open When planning starts, and pick a new number of days for any type of work.

To change just one project: open it in Plans and change How long to prepare. If it already has dated steps, Unstuck offers to move them with it.

What’s the Sunday Reset?
+

A short checklist that sets up the week: look at what’s coming, empty your head, check every big deadline has a plan, and deal with anything left over. It shows up as a card on Today every Sunday.

What if we fall behind for a few days?
+

In short: not much! Unfinished work stays on Today, where you can check it off, give it a new day, or let it go. No streaks and no guilt. Just pick it back up.

How much should a parent help?
+

Do the setup together. After the first week, your job is mostly the Sunday Reset, and ten minutes together is plenty.

Try not to fill in their day for them. A planner someone else wrote doesn’t get opened.

Can I print it?
+

Yes. Tap the printer icon to print just the page you’re looking at, without the buttons and tabs.

Buying & your account

+

The planner becomes read-only. You can still read it and download everything you wrote. To keep planning, buy the next school year.

Which devices does it work on?
+

Any device with a web browser: laptops, Chromebooks, tablets, and phones. It’s the same planner everywhere, always synced. There’s nothing to install.

Is my student’s information private?
+
